The growth and economic outlook of East Ridge has always been driven by an independent, pioneer spirit — starting with the Lomenick family to Weldon F. Osborne to many others who have helped build East Ridge into the city we all enjoy and love today.
Pioneering Tomorrow was created to help our city solve important problems and challenges facing our community by fostering better collaboration between city government, local residents and the business community.
Over the last decade, East Ridge has realized one of the biggest influxes of new business investments that has quite literally transformed our city, and our county, in the one of the best places to live, work, play and retire.
Each year, more and more people are coming to Camp Jordan to compete, connect and create memories with their family and friends. And, East Ridge continues to attract new retailers, restaurants, hotels and other commercial developments across East Ridge.
Despite these successes, our community continues to present some challenges and difficult questions for our city, our elected leaders and residents:
How do we fund a paving program that will fill our potholes, replace our aging roads and pave new roads?
How do we expand our parks and recreational spaces to improve the quality of life for East Ridge residents and bring more visitors to our city?
Where can we improve city services to better meet the needs of East Ridge residents?
What can we do to better fund the critical needs of our first responders so East Ridge can recruit and retain the best and brightest in Hamilton County?
And, how do we accomplish all of this without raising local property taxes?
The answers to these questions start with talking with each other and sharing ideas about the future of East Ridge. By talking about these important issues and working together, we can solve our problems and create new opportunities that will improve the quality of life for East Ridge residents, support the needs of the business community and foster a climate that will attract future investments across East Ridge and bring more visitors to our community.
